Year 6
Welcome,
Our Year 6 pupils are very lucky to have such an exciting and enriching curriculum for their final year at Oakfield.
The Topics we cover in our History and Geography teaching are: World War II, The Mayan Civilisation, Rivers & Mountains and National Parks.
There are many other fantastic enrichment opportunities for the pupils including: designing and making their own Marionette puppets in DT; using the green screen technology to make their own movies and learning and choreographing their own World War II dance during PE lessons.
The Science units we cover are: Evolution and Inheritance, Light, Living Things and their Habitats and Electricity.
In the Autumn term, the children traditionally run their own Christmas fair which will enable them to raise money for their leavers' trip to Guildford Spectrum as well as their leavers' disco at the end of the year.
